In this tutorial we want to look at how to install the wallet on a linux desktop computer.
The first step would be to download the latest version of the wallet from GitHub
Make sure to choose whatever version fits your systems architecture
In the next step you have to move into the location where you've downloaded the archive from GitHub to. Extract it to wherever you wish on your system - I will leave it in the Downloads directory
To enable us to run the file we have to tweak some properties of the jumpcoin-qt file, our GUI version of the wallet.
Tick "Allow executing file as program" to enable the wallet to be run.
Now you can run the jumpcoin-qt, your go-to file every time you want to open the wallet on your desktop system. It will prompt you to set a directory where you want your Wallet files to be stored.
After pressing OK, your wallet should be ready to use and look something like this:
Through the magic of the code base in the background, your wallet will now synchronize with the network and then will be ready to use.
I hope this short tutorial could help you a bit getting the wallet up and running.
